State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) announces that the Governor has signed Senate Bill 4 and it will now become law.  Earlier this month, the Ohio House approved the bill with Swearingen’s amendment that aides $555 million to state construction in support of local schools and infrastructure projects.

State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) introduced House Bill 692, which will modernize and update how estate planning documents, such as wills and trusts, are finalized within the state. Swearingen testified on the legislation during its hearing in the House Civil Justice Committee.

State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) voted to support House Bill 13 - one of the Ohio House’s priority pieces of legislation - that will help to expand broadband to the nearly one million Ohioans lacking a reliable internet connection, including 300,000 households having no broadband options. The significant legislation passed in the Ohio House earlier today.

As joint sponsors, State Representatives Jeff LaRe (R-Violet Township) and D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) today voted to support their bill that will bring revenue and safety to businesses. The legislation passed in the Ohio House with a vote of 84-8.

Since returning to the Statehouse a few weeks ago, the Ohio House of Representatives have been hard at work as significant, bipartisan legislation have been recently passed for the people across our state. Today, JobsOhio launched its new Community Bank Loan Guarantee initiative– a partnership to address supporting small business clients by maintaining operations and payrolls as they’ve been drastically affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
