COLUMBUS – State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) today announced applications are now open for $155 million in business grant programs to help Ohio industries recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. 

State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) and the General Assembly passed House Bill 110, known as the two-year state operating budget for Fiscal Years 2022-2023. The legislation highlights include a new school funding reform plan, tax relief, jobs and economic support, and several other initiatives.

COLUMBUS – Today, State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) announces that House Bill 149 passed out of the House Government Oversight Committee. The legislation adds a judicial candidate’s party affiliation on a general election ballot. Swearingen applauded the vote.

State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) attended the signing ceremony of two bills that offer significant COVID-19 relief. The pieces of legislation under Senate Bills 108 and 109 were signed into law today by the governor. Swearingen sponsored the companion bill in the House and spoke during the event. 

Today, State Rep. D.J. Swearingen’s (R-Huron) House Bill 229 passed within the Ohio House. The legislation supports Ohio tourism by protecting campground owners and workers from frivolous lawsuits. Swearingen spoke to the bill on the House floor.

Today, State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) and the Ohio House approved House Bill 215. The legislation allows any business that complies with safety standards from government orders or regulations to stay open.
