Representing Parma, Brooklyn Heights, Cuyahoga Heights, and part of southwest Cleveland, Jeff Crossman began his first term serving the Ohio House in January 2019. Jeff is a dedicated public servant and brings his five years of experience as a Parma City Councilman to the Statehouse.

While serving on Parma’s City Council, Jeff was instrumental in crafting a balanced city budget, oversaw a wide array of local governmental operations, worked to improve neighborhoods and keep them safe. Jeff is also a former member of Parma’s Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.

08.03.20 - Reps. Crossman And Brent Introduce Bill To Designate Feb. 21 As "John Lewis Voter Registration Day"

 

COLUMBUS—In honor of the late civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis, State Representatives Jeffrey A. Crossman (D- Parma) and Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) introduced legislation on Thursday, July 30, the day that Lewis was laid to rest, to designate Feb. 21 as “John Lewis Voter Registration Day.” The day, picked because it is Lewis’ birthday, would promote voter registration throughout Ohio and remember all the important work Lewis did to expand voting rights for all Americans.

COLUMBUS — State Reps. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) and Jeffrey A. Crossman (D-Parma) today announced the introduction of a bill that would strike provisions in the Ohio Revised Code prohibiting collective bargaining for currently exempted General Assembly employees, including legislative staff.

COLUMBUS – State Reps. Jeffrey Crossman (D-Parma) and Lisa Sobecki (D-Toledo) today reiterated their call for Ohio Governor DeWine and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) State Superintendent Paolo DeMaria to seek a federal waiver to cancel state assessments for the 2020-21 school year.

 
 

07.14.20 - House Democrats Announce Plans For A Bill Allowing Legislative Staff To Unionize Following Positive COVID-19 Case In The Ohio House

 

COLUMBUS— State Representatives Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) and Jeffrey A. Crossman (D-Parma) announced plans on Tuesday to introduce a bill that would strike the provision in Ohio Revised Code that prohibits collective bargaining for currently exempted state employees, including legislative staff.  A co-sponsor request was sent to the entire House of Representatives on Monday.
