State Rep. Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) announces a project coming to Elyria that expects to create 150 full-time jobs, which will also retain $32.9 million in existing payroll. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) approved the project on Monday.

“It is exciting to see another project that will be a job creator and drive economic development in Lorain County,” said Manning. “It’s an honor to serve an area that can bring in bright and innovative businesses for the betterment of our community.”

Back in August, Manning previously announced another project that is expected to bring around 400 full-time positions to Lorain County.

The new initiative is from Invacare Corporation’s expansion project in Elyria. The project intends to generate $7.3 million in new annual payroll from the 150 jobs it expects to add through the expansion. Invacare is a company that designs, manufactures and distributes medical devices.

Earlier today, the administration announced the approval of assistance for nine projects set to create 1,700 new jobs and retain 923 jobs statewide. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed these economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $87 million in new payroll and spur more than $1.5 billion in investments across Ohio.
