Liston introduces bill to help local nonprofit
State Rep. Beth Liston (D-Dublin) today announced House Bill (HB) 300, legislation that would raise money for the Ohio House Rabbit Rescue through the creation of a “Rabbit Friendly” license plate.
“The Ohio House Rabbit Rescue does great work in our community,” said Rep. Liston. “This bill gives Ohioans the opportunity to show their support for the organization.”
The Ohio House Rabbit Rescue is a nonprofit organization based in Worthington, Ohio. They operate an adoption center and administer educational resources to teach individuals and families how to care for rabbits as pets. HB 300 would create a “Rabbit Friendly” license plate, along with donating $15 from each license plate to benefit the Rescue.
“I was very happy when the Rescue reached out to me with this idea,” added Liston. “My family adopted our rabbit from the Rescue a few years ago, and I am happy to give continued support to the organization and the work they do.”
